A.C. and Barbara Leighton were influential artists and teachers who significantly helped shape Alberta’s early art culture in their own unique ways. Part of our mission at the Leighton Art Centre (LAC) is to maintain their legacy of supporting artists throughout all stages of their careers, from beginner to professional. One of the ways we do this is by offering a variety of annual artist opportunities, including artist exhibitions inside our galleries and outside on our beautiful property; member events such as the Juried Member Exhibition, Clothesline, Paint the Foothills, and Festive Foothills; and opportunities to show and sell in our Gallery Shop.
