The Power of Colours

Spring is a time of renewal, a season where nature awakens in a vivid symphony of colours, shapes, and scents. It is a season that Alberta ceramic artist Aldo Marchese eagerly anticipates, finding inspiration and harmony in the valley, the meadow, and the forest, where hundreds of flowers bloom in an overwhelming profusion. This moment of natural epiphany has inspired the collection of hand-built abstract clay sculptures featured in this exhibition.

The pieces in The Power of Colours are vibrant explorations of colour and geometric form. Each sculpture is a testament to the powerful influence of colour, an element that profoundly affects our moods, thoughts, and spiritual energy.
