Distance of the Moon is a short film which tells the story of a crab who overcomes its limited two-dimensional movement in order to become one with the object of his desire- the moon. Rory O’Connor utilizes materials which she calls “Naïve” to create a puppet and its landscape, provoking viewers to explore deeper scientific philosophies and question the nature of the universe they inhabit.
O’Connor is a native of Windsor, Ontario who now lives and works in Calgary, Alberta while completing her Master’s in Fine Art.
