Description: In this fun, fast-paced class students will learn basic linocut skills, pattern development and custom colour mixing. Students will cut blocks, lay out their design motifs and hand print their own set of Flour Sack Tea Towels to take home. Excellent for beginner and intermediate linocut students. All supplies included.
Audience: 18 + (all experience levels welcome)

Instructor Biography: Michelle Wiebe is a Cochrane, Alberta-based artist focused primarily on painting, printmaking and letterpress. Her work is characterized by simple subject matter rendered with bold colour and line work. Michelle is also a passionate instructor with a deep love for teaching, she makes it her goal that students leave her class with quality work and the confidence to continue building their new skills. She can also be found doing collaborations, demonstrations and commission pieces. She is the Programming and Engagement Coordinator at Alberta Printmakers and a member of the Leighton Artist Centre.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Please note there is a NO REFUND policy on all Leighton Art Centre workshops. A refund will only be issued to participants if the workshop is cancelled by the workshop coordinator due to insufficient enrollment, extreme weather conditions, or Covid-19 restrictions. Workshops may be cancelled prior to the start date and participants will be notified via email and/or phone, and a full refund will be processed.
