Alberta Culture Days Fall Paint-Out 2015

We welcome everyone to join us at LAC for an exciting weekend full of cultural experiences! Live music, delicious food, and hands-on interactive art demos and talks will be featured over two days this September 26th & 27th.

Schedule for Saturday September 26th:

All Day Plein-Air Painting from 10am – 4pm – Everyone is welcome to bring your paints and canvases out to the hill! We will also be hosting live painting and art demos throughout the day.

Golden Opening Reception with the Calgary Artist Society from 2-4pm – Free for all to attend! Hosted inside the Main Gallery.

Schedule for Sunday September 27th:

Karen Biko Community Art Project from 11am – 2pm – Karen welcomes you to join her on the beautiful Leighton property for a community engagement art project and try-your-hand painting session. Karen is a local Calgary artist who regularly shows her abstract art at LAC.

Barbara Amos CARFAC Speaker Series “Art in the Public Realm” Talk from 2pm – 4pm – Barbara’s talk will offer details on the public art process with references from the point of view of the artist. Barbara Amos has completed four public art commissions and participated in the jury process.
