Harvest Supper Fundraiser

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Alberta’s foothills and expansive mountain views, the 2026 Harvest Supper Fundraiser invites guests to experience an evening of rustic elegance, heartfelt connection, and meaningful support for the arts. Hosted by the Leighton Art Centre, this annual event brings together community members to celebrate the intersection of creativity, culture, and nature in southern Alberta. This year’s Harvest Supper Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 12 from 4:00 p.m. to sunset. 

Proceeds from the fundraiser – through ticket sales, sponsorships, auction participation, and donations – directly benefit the Leighton Art Centre’s year-round efforts to deliver high-quality art exhibitions, educational programs for school groups and summer campers, and responsible stewardship of our historic property. Each contribution helps ensure that future generations can access, learn from, and be inspired by the transformative power of art in a natural setting. 

What is Fund-A-Need?

A huge success at last year’s fundraiser, the Harvest Supper Fund-a-Need Print Wall is a creative way to support our organization’s most important needs while celebrating local artists and their work.

Here’s how it works: we identify specific items and improvements needed around the site – everything from paint, scissors, and watercolour paper to outdoor signage and picnic tables – and determine the cost of each item. Local artists then donate images of their artwork to be featured on professionally printed 5×7″ cards. One side of each card displays the artwork, while the other highlights a specific need.

During the event, guests browse the display and choose a card to sponsor by making a donation. In return, they take the card home as a keepsake, and the funds raised go directly toward purchasing the much-needed supplies and improvements. It’s a meaningful and tangible way to give while supporting both the organization and local artists.

Whether you are a returning supporter or joining us for the first time, we warmly invite you to be part of this special evening. Enjoy a locally sourced dining experience, connect with fellow art and nature enthusiasts, and take in the beauty of the prairie landscape as the sun sets over the foothills. 

Evening Schedule: 

  • 4:00 – 5:00 pm | Cocktails & Hors D’oeuvres, Silent Auction and Fund-A-Need Open 
  • 5:00 pm | Welcome, Opening, Harvest Supper 
  • 6:30 pm | Dessert, Silent Auction Closes 
  • 7:00 pm | Sunset & Closing Performance
