Gouache

Gouache (pronounced “gwash”) is a highly versatile water-based medium which dries opaque compared to normal watercolours. Producing bright and luminous illustrations and designs, gouache was the preferred medium for commercial artists before being replaced by computers. A.C. utilized a mixture of gouache and watercolour for much of his illustrative and design work.
