Parent and Child Broom-MakingWith David Campbell
October 23 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Accompanied by a parent (or guardian), children ages 12 and up can learn how to make their own heritage broom, employing broom-making techniques first used over 200 years ago. These beautiful ornamental brooms make wonderful additions to your home or yard, and are excellent gifts for would be witches looking for treats on Halloween!
If not a flying broom, how about a floor broom, hearth broom, cobweb or tidy broom? All are sturdy heirloom sweepers that are as beautiful as they are practical, for use on floors, sidewalks, patios and decks, or simply for display as one-of-a-kind works of folk art.
Join Foothills broom-maker David Campbell as he leads three parent/child teams through the stages of broom construction, from start to finish. Because parents will be involved full time helping their children, each two-person team will complete one broom each.
