Inspired by an icon of the West and celebrating the continuing existence of the mighty Plains Bison in Alberta, Leighton Art Centre presents Bison bison bison. Experience the perspectives of sixteen local artists as they portray this impressive creature in many styles and in pieces large and small! Presented in the Main Gallery.
Works for sale will include paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and sculpture. This exhibition will be presented in Leighton Art Centre’s Main Gallery.
Opening Reception: Saturday June 16, 2018 at 2-4 pm. Reception will celebrate the launch of this and of Threaded Through Paint(presented in Leighton Art Centre’s Tower Gallery) by Calgary watercolorist Brittney Tough.
