Leighton Art Centre’s 38th Annual Clothesline Art Sale takes place during the month June 2025 that features two popular events:

• Online Art Sale, June 1-30, 2025 – online at shop.leightoncentre.org
• In person Art Market, June 7 & 8, 2025

Important Dates

• March 4: Application Form opens
• March 21: Last day to submit Application Form by 5pm
• April 4: Artists will be notified of the status of their submission. Artists can deliver accepted works (online sale) to LAC after this date.
• May 25: Deadline to deliver pieces to Leighton Art Centre
• June 1-30: Online sale is on at shop.leightoncentre.org
• June 7 & 8: In person Art Market takes place at Leighton Art Centre

Online Art Sale

• You may submit up to 5 pieces for consideration for the online sale. No substitutions will be accepted.
• Online Sale pieces may also be displayed to in-person audiences during the market weekend, as space permits.

Art Market

• If you are applying for a booth, please submit 5 pieces that are representative of your current art practice. If accepted for a booth, you may bring any original artworks you choose.
• Two artists may apply to share a booth but each must submit the application form. There is a spot to indicate that you wish to share the booth.
• Market participants are responsible for providing all equipment needed to set up their booth/tent, within an assigned 10′ x 10′ foot outdoor area. This may include table(s), chair(s), an umbrella or tent, grid walls or other display equipment. You may want to bring a wagon to help move equipment from the parking lot and an extra person to help you set up/take down.

Membership & Consignment

• There is no registration fee for either event, but you must be a current Leighton Art Centre member – and maintain your membership through June 2025 – to participate.
• Our regular 50/50 consignment agreement applies to all sales. Leighton Art Centre will handle all sales transactions.
• Artists are invited to apply for either or both events. This form will close to submissions on March 21, 2025 at 5pm.

• If accepted to the sale, the Artist agrees to meet all deadlines listed above and follow all artwork submission and packaging guidelines, as described in the Clothesline Online Guidelines & Procedures and Art Sale Guidelines & Procedures, available on our website.
• Images of artwork and/or the Artist’s name may be used for publicity or educational purposes.
• For all pieces offered for sale, the Leighton Art Centre commission is 50%. Artist consignment is 50%. Artist commissions are to be paid within 60 business days after sale of artwork.
• All pieces represent the Artist’s current body of artwork, are created with professional quality materials, and have never been submitted previously to LAC.
• Further information and printable price tags will be sent with acceptance emails on April 4, 2025.
• Artist agrees to maintain LAC membership through June 30, 2025, to participate in this sale (market and/or online sale).
