Members & Alumni 50th Anniversary Exhibition

Welcome to Leighton Art Centre’s 50th Anniversary Members & Alumni Exhibition!
February 10 – March 31, 2024

Submission Guidelines:

Current Leighton Art Centre (LAC) members and alumni are invited to submit one piece to be considered for the exhibition. Theme is open – your piece does NOT have to be about Leighton Art Centre.
The exhibition follows a “square foot” format, with each [hanging] piece to be sized up to 12 x 12 inches. That maximum size includes the frame, if the piece is framed.
3D works (such as fine craft) that do not hang on a wall must fit within a 12Hx12Wx12D inch space.
Submitted pieces can be for sale or not for sale. Artworks must be available between January 27 and March 31, 2024.

Important Dates:

January 5, 2023: Submissions due, through this online form.
Mid-January: Artists to receive info about the status of their submission.
January 24-27 (10am-4pm): Art selected for the exhibition must be delivered to Leighton Art Centre. Please note: LAC is otherwise closed for winter break between December 22, 2023 and February 9, 2024.
February 10, 2024: Exhibition opens.

Conditions of Participation

Artist agrees to meet all deadlines listed above.
Images of artwork and/or artist’s name may be used for publicity or educational purposes.
Any stories or photos shared via this form may be shared publicly by Leighton Art Centre in any format, for any future purpose. Stories may be edited for clarity or brevity and/or shared in small segments. We will always attempt to give credit for stories and images to the person who shared them with us. If you need to clarify who should receive credit for your stories or images, please email communications@leightoncentre.org.
For all pieces offered for sale, the Leighton Art Centre commission is 40%. Artist consignor’s commission is 60%. Artist consignors are to be paid within 60 business days after sale of artwork.
